Norse Mythology ValkyriesEdit
The Valkyries are beautiful young women armed with helmets and spears. They scout the battlefields to choose the bravest of those who have been slain. They escort these heroes, called the Einherjar, to Valhalla, Odin's hall.
The Valkyries are portrayed as cybernetic female warriors who are charged with retrieving fallen warriors who have earned their worthiness to be in Valhalla. The Valkyries also appear to be able to retrieve both living and fallen warriors who have accomplished the bravery requirement of acceptance. They are commanded and sent by Freya on parts of the battlefield..
The Valkyries possess considerable powers despite being portayed as non-combatants. They are able to emit holy light upon entry which is capable of pushing away hordes of enemies. Valkyries also have the ability to appear practically anywhere they need to be, on any plane of exisetnce. They also possess undetermined levels of flight and can stay in the air for as long as necessary.
Battlefield Role in Too HumanEdit
The Valkyries act as the retrievers of the dead in Too Human, and vigorously scan for deceased soldiers/warriors to retrieve who have earned their place in Valhalla. The Valkyries also re-spawn Baldur everytime he is killed in combat.
