Pistols are fast firing weapons that have low clip capacity and damage. Pistols have the added ability of targeting two enemies at once making them very useful for taking down hordes of Goblins. This ability is dificult to control unless you stop firing before selecting new targets. "Pumping" the triggers quickly in alternation solves this problem quite well, as it will target the closest, and therefore, most dangerous enemies, and won't have you wasting rounds firing into corpses. Pistols are the weapon of choice for Champions, Berserkers and even Defenders who need to spare themselves from unnecessary harm. The low base damage of pistols makes them dificult to use when taking down Trolls, or even Elves.
